FAQ

Q: Which player starts the game?

A: All players play at the same time. There is no first player.

Q: Can multiple meeples be in the same space?

A: No. Move your meeple to the next available space.

Q: What happens if the Warlord passes my meeple?

A: This isn’t possible. Whenever the Warlord catches a player it stops to combat the player, who either successfully flees to the next available space, or is caught by the Warlord and thus eliminated from the game.

Q: Can there be a tie?

A: No. The first player who reaches Susa wins the game immediately.

Q: Can I still continue playing if I get caught by the Warlord?

A: No. If you are caught, meaning you failed to escape with the dice roll and you lost your final movement card, then you are eliminated from the game. Start planning your next escape!

Q: Do I win the game if other players are eliminated?

A: No. You still need to reach Susa following the regular game rules, even if you are the last player.

Q: What happens if I have several Companion (+2) tokens?

A: You add all bonuses to your very next die roll. After the roll you discard the tokens.

Q: If I’m stuck in a Village and other players pass me during the turn, do I get to move too?

A: Only if your movement priority number is up after the other players have already passed you. If it would be your time to move but there are players behind you and you are stuck in a Village, you don’t get to move at all that turn.

Q: If I get the Ambush token, do I first draw and refill my hand before one card is taken out at random?

A: Yes.

Q: Can players negotiate with each other which cards to play?

A: Yes, though remember, only the first player to Susa wins the game.

Q: If a player is stuck in a Village, do they still need to play a movement card from their hand, even if they can’t move?

A: Yes. Note that other players may overtake the player with the Token during the round, causing the Token to be removed and Movement card to be resolved.

Q: What is the runner symbol on the die?

A: The die has numbers from 1 to 5, and the runner equals the number 6.
